The Synology UC3400 is a 2U, 12-bay dual-controller SAN designed for mission-critical, high-performance environments. With active-active controllers based on Intel Xeon D-1541 CPUs and ECC memory, it delivers over 180,000 4K random write IOPS (up to ~455K mixed IOPS over Fibre Channel), ensuring uninterrupted block storage via iSCSI or Fibre Channel. Fully virtualisation-ready, it supports VMware, Hyper-V, OpenStack Cinder, and comes with enterprise tools like Snapshot Replication, self-encrypting drive support, and high availability failover. The system includes hot-swappable power supplies, up to 576 TB expansion via RXD1219sas units, and flexible networking from built-in 10GbE/1GbE ports to optional 25GbE or Fibre Channel add-ons. Backed by Synology’s DiskStation Manager and a five-year warranty, the UC3400 brings pro-grade NAS scalability and resilience with minimal downtime.
