Product Description
The dual port QXG-10G2T-X710 is a PCIe Gen 3 (compatible with PCIe Gen 2)10GbE network expansion card with an Intel Ethernet Controller X710 and supports up to five speeds (10G / 5G / 2.5G / 1G / 100M). By using Port Trunking, both ports can be combined to achieve up to 20Gbps transfer speeds for accelerating file sharing and intensive data transfer. With SR-IOV and iSCSI support, the QXG-10G2T-X710 greatly boosts network efficiency and is ideal for I/O-intensive and latency-sensitive virtualization applications and data centers.
Build a 10GbE Network Environment
The QXG-10G2T-X710 can be used with QNAP’s 10GbE switches, including the QSW-M2108-2C or QSW-1208-8C, to build a budget-friendly high-speed network environment.
Optimized for Virtualization Environments
The QXG-10G2T-X710 supports SR-IOV, which can allocate bandwidth resources from a physical network card directly to virtual machines, ensuring reliable VM applications and reduced CPU overheads. The QXG-10G2T-X710 also supports iSCSI, which enables computers, servers, or virtual machines to use storage from your QNAP NAS as virtual disks. You can partition, format, and use these virtual disks exactly like local disks, or even use them for storage expansion or as backup destinations. Please note, SR-IOV is supported by specific QNAP NAS models and should work with SR-IOV-compatible adapters.
Supports Windows and Linux servers/workstations
Besides QNAP devices, the QXG-10G2T-X710 supports workstations and servers running on Windows 8 and later and Linux Ubuntu 18.04 and 20.04. This adapter is also compatible with machines running on Windows Server 2019 and later, as well as Linux Kernel 4.20 or 5.x (driver required). This wide compatibility allows you to attain optimal business performance for a winder range of system applications and services.
