Intelligent PoE+

●      IEEE 802.3at PoE+ (up to 30W per port) is supported on Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series switches with Full PoE+ Support Powers devices like IP phones, cameras, and wireless access points directly through Ethernet to lower the total cost of ownership for deployments. PoE+ removes the need to supply wall power to PoE-enabled devices and eliminates the cost of adding electrical cabling and circuits that would otherwise be necessary in IP phone and WLAN deployments. With Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series switches, PoE+ power allocation is dynamic, and power mapping scales up to a maximum of 30W of PoE+ power.

●      PoE Powered Device (PD) – Catalyst 9200CX can be powered through the uplink with IEEE 802.3bt class 6 or UPOE+ power from upstream switch.

●      Perpetual PoE is supported on Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series switches, and maintains the PoE+ power during a switch reload. This is important for critical endpoints such as medical devices and for Internet of Things (IoT) endpoints such as PoE-powered lights, so that there is no disruption during a switch reboot.

●      Fast PoE: When power is restored to a switch, Fast PoE starts delivering power to endpoints without waiting for the operating system to fully load, thereby speeding up the time for the endpoint to start up.

Stacking

The Cisco Catalyst C9200L-24P-4X-E switch supports stacking through StackWise-160 technology, which allows multiple switches to operate as a single logical unit. Here’s what you need to know to get stacking up and running

Stacking Capabilities of C9200L-24P-4X-E

• Maximum Stack Members: You can stack up to 8 switches in a single stack.
• Stacking Ports: These switches use StackWise-160 ports for stacking, which are located on the back of the device. You’ll need compatible StackWise cables (available in 0.5m, 1m, or 3m lengths).
• License Compatibility: All switches in the stack must run the same license level and compatible software versions
• Unified Management: The stack behaves like a single switch. One switch acts as the active switch, managing the entire stack, while others serve as standby or member switches.

point to note:

1. Homogeneous Stacking Only: You can only stack Cisco Catalyst 9200L Series switches with each other. Mixing with other 9200 Series models (like C9200-24PB) is not supported

2. StackWise Adapter Requirement: If your switch wasn’t ordered with stacking capability, you’ll need to install a StackWise adapter in the stacking port
