Product description
The rackmount TL-R1200C-RP 12-Bay JBOD Expansion Unit from QNAP allows you to back up and expand your QNAP NAS, computers (supports Windows and Mac), and servers. The TL-R1200C-RP features twelve 3.5″ SATA III 6 Gb/s drive bays with 10 Gb/s USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) connectivity to provide a fast and smooth expansion solution.

- High-capacity TL SATA JBOD can not only expand NAS storage, but also Windows and Ubuntu computers and servers.
- SFF-8088 (or SFF-8644) connection cable supports four (4) SATA 6Gb/s channels per cable (24Gb/s in total) and provides faster data transfer speeds than eSATA and USB.
- The 250W redundant power supply can ensure maximum system uptime.
- Comes with one (1) QXP-1600eS QXP SATA Expansion Card & three (3) Mini SAS cables.
High-Performance Architecture
The TL SATA JBOD supports multi-lane SATA III 6 Gb/s transfers and each SATA lane directly connects to a single SATA drive to help improve performance. With the 1-1 high-speed channel, the TL SATA JBOD delivers excellent transfer performance.
Flexible Storage Configuration and Management
The TL-R1200C-RP provides software-controlled storage configuration for greater management flexibility. You can configure RAID and monitor JBOD enclosure and disk health with Storage & Snapshots when connected to a QTS or QuTS hero NAS, or with the QNAP JBOD Manager utility when connected to a computer.
What you need to know
You can connect your TL-R1200S-RP to Windows and Ubuntu computers and servers through the SFF-8088 (or SFF-8644) high-speed cable and use built-in utility to manage the RAID configuration.
NOTE:
1. TL-R1200C-RP only supports devices with USB 3.2 Gen 1 (or above) port.
2. QNAP recommends following the standard procedure to connect or disconnect the TL-R1200C-RP. For more information, please see the TL-R1200C-RP user manual.
3. The TL-R1200C-RP can only be used as an individual storage pool or volume on the NAS. Its storage pool/volume cannot be combined into the connected NAS. NAS applications cannot be installed on the TL-R1200C-RP.
4. The TL-R1200C-RP only supports QNAP NAS running on QTS 4.4.2 (or above) or QuTS hero operating system.
5. The TL-R1200C-RP doesnÂ’t support ASM1142 USB controller IC based USB ports and PCIe expansion cards (e.g. QNAP USB-U31A2P01 expansion card)
6. Users can purchase the optional rail kit to deploy the TL-R1200C-RP in a 19-inch rack following the ANSI/EIA-RS-310-D standard.
Intelligently Monitor JBOD Enclosure Status on PC and Servers with QNAP JBOD Manager
The QNAP JBOD Manager is a desktop utility for monitoring the TL-R1200C-RP on Windows and Ubuntu computers. You can quickly obtain the disk statuses, JBOD information and health, view fan rotation speed, and check for firmware version updates. All device events are recorded and will send desktop notifications when a system alert occurs.

Install an exclusive QXP PCIe card onto your QNAP NAS, Windows or Ubuntu PC and servers to connect the JBOD enclosure via SFF-8088 (or SFF-8644) cable, for easy and flexible storage expansion.
TL-R1200S-RP Offers Better Performance Than Other USB and eSATA JBOD Solutions
The TL-R1200C-RP features SFF-8088 (or SFF-8644) connectivity and multiple SATA 6Gb/s bays. This provides better sequential read performance and faster data transfer speeds than existing USB and eSATA expansion enclosures, while also being a more economical option compared to a QNAP REXP SAS enclosure.
